Great family fun!
The West Michigan Bluegrass Festival is proud to present their 2010 Fallfest Bluegrass Festival at the Kent County Fairgrounds in Lowell Michigan. This is a great, family-fun event that is sure to be a hit with the whole family! We hope you’ll make plans to join us the third weekend of September.
Our 15th Annual Fallfest!
Where does the time go? It’s incredible for me to realize that I was present and playing on stage at the very first Fallfest 15 years ago. My how things have changed since then.
The W.M.B.M.A. Fallfest grows in popularity and attendance a little bit more each year. It’s become one of the social highlights of the year for the Lowell area residents, and people have been coming from far and wide to attend the festival.
There really is quite a bit to do at our festival. From a continuously rotating schedule of bands playing from noon until 9:00pm, to a series of instrument workshops, to a band scramble, to a bake sale, children’s activities, a farmer’s market…my goodness, it’s hard to fit it all in in a weekend!
There will be great bands as always
We’re super-excited to be hosting and great band that we’ve never had at any of our festivals: Ricky Prater & The Midnight Traveler’s. I shared a stage with this group when I played a bluegrass festival a couple of years ago, and I was very impressed. You can tell that Ricky Prater lives the message and the feeling that emanates from his songs.
Back by popular demand…and always a crowd pleaser…are the Williams Family Bluegrass Band from West Michigan. If you’ve been a fan of the local music scene in West Michigan, then you’ve heard and loved the Williams’ Family. Joining the William’s will be a host of other local and regional bands that will be sure to have your toes tapping!
