Association Events

Please join us in the many events we sponsor throughout the year

We try to stay active throughout the year as an association. Not only can you find jam sessions sponsored by the association, you'll also find special concerts and even two bluegrass festivals per year, all sponsored the the W.M.B.M.A.

The membership meeting/jam sessions that you'll see below are held once per month from October through April of any given year. At the meetings we invite members and non-members alike to bring along an instrument and join in the jam session fun, or just come to listen to the picking that's going on. Some meetings are combined as a Hot Bands Fundraiser featuring local bands to provide some entertainment, while others are open jam session meetings only. There's always a short membership meeting halfway through the evening, but the rest of the time it's all music! This year we are trying an open mic format at the open jam meetings, giving you a chance to pick and sing for an audience. It doesn't matter if you are a soloist or a full band; come on along and sign up for a half hour slot! We even have a house band to back you up if necessary.

All association events are open to the public. If you are new to bluegrass and want to see what it's all about, we certainly encourage you to visit us at any event to see how you like it. Please see the detailed information on each event below to learn more.
